PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: July 5th, 2025

1) The Vikings are Gnawing on a $363.3 Million Problem: The Vikings’ salary cap outlook has been an issue for a little while. Or, at least, the topic has come up previously as Vikings Territory has looked into the team’s future. The 2026 budget is looking pretty grim for Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, but the GM is going to get things figured out.

2) New Vikings Defender is Turning Heads: There’s a risk in going overboard with assessments coming out of May and June. The practices that take place are still very basic, operating as the on-ramp to the highway that is training camp/preseason. Even still, Vikings fans will welcome the positive updates that do arrive.

3) Trade Idea Hits Vikings Rumor Mill: Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has a reputation, doesn’t he? The GM loves pulling off a trade, something that became evident on several occasions through both of March (free agency) and April (the draft). Any chance he pulls another rabbit out his hat before September arrives?

4) The Vikings’ QB1 Has an Actual Problem with His Arm: Folks, there’s no such thing as a perfect football player. The velocity concerns aren’t really a thing. There is, however, an issue that J.J. McCarthy is looking to address as he marches toward starting in Week 1.

5) Vikings Linked to 4-Time Pro Bowler: Speculation has cooled off since March, but the NFL’s free agency period extends longer than a lot of fans realize. There’s still some good talent out there. Any merit in Kwesi Adofo-Mensah welcoming another player (or two) to town?
