The P/PTSD Perspective: Flopped Corner, Losing a Key Starter, and 1 Kirk Cousins Trade Rumor

PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.
The P/PTSD Perspective: September 13th, 2025
1) Flopped Vikings Corner Might Get the Justin Jefferson Assignment: Not an easy task, is it, going toe-to-toe with the NFL’s best receiver? All things considered, Nahshon Wright did a good job. Much of the issue seemed to flow from J.J. McCarthy struggling to shift into gear, but give the corner credit for that massive pick-six.

2) Vikings Expected to Be Without a Key Starter for Several Weeks: Really tough loss. The good news is simply that the depth has improved. Adding Eric Wilson to be the LB3 looks pretty savvy right about now. He’ll take on an expanded role for Brian Flores. Is there someone else who steps in for Matt Daniels?
3) The Door Opens for Kirk Cousins: At long last, a move to San Francisco makes some sense. Getting there — with that albatross of a contract — nevertheless remains difficult. Any way the pair of teams can massage the money so that Cousins finally gets to work alongside Kyle Shanahan?

4) Surprise Injury Hits Vikings Ahead of Week 2 Game: Roster health is in a tough spot. The Week 1 game was magical but costly. Ideally, Minnesota can see some players re-added — specifically, Christian Darrisaw and Harrison Smith — while they weather the storm in other areas.
5) Vikings’ Next Opponent Signs Popular Former Viking: Typically, the Vikings are the team dealing with no shortage of kicker concern. Odd for the cleat to be on the other foot. Decent chance, folks, that the upcoming game between Minnesota and Atlanta is closer than last season’s game. Does it come down to a kick?
