The P/PTSD Perspective: Fear Vikings Duo, MIN a Landing Spot, and The Holdout Problem

PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.
The P/PTSD Perspective: June 7th, 2025
1) League Should Fear New Vikings Duo, Says Analyst: One gets the sense that there’s some disagreement out there surrounding the Vikings. Kevin O’Connell is widely regarded as an excellent coach (Brian Flores, too) and the roster is stacked. Are they going to be a team that the league should fear?

2) Vikings Named Landing Spot for Disgruntled Rival Defender: The defense is loaded. The front seven looks particularly formidable due to the additions at defensive tackles. Flores could very well be on the precipice of leading a defense that proves to be a weekly terror for opponents.
3) Vikings Might Have a Little Holdout Problem: Nothing to see here, folks. Josh Metellus had already shown up for an earlier portion of the offseason. He’s now back for the current portion of the offseason. Missing time isn’t an automatic holdout. Mr. Metellus will soon get paid.

4) J.J. McCarthy “How Does He Look” Reports Are In: Almost everyone who talks to the kid comes away impressed with the sophomore passer. He has had a full year to solely focus on the mental aspect of the game, something that is not detached from the on-field component. The reports are looking good.
5) The Justin Jefferson Problem for J.J. McCarthy: Usually, Justin Jefferson is a tremendous option. See the issue with that basic statement? The key rests in usually. There are times when the WR1 is covered, meaning it’s best to move off of him in favor of a different weapon (the Vikings’ offense has several). McCarthy is going to need to find that balance.

Enjoy the extra reading, Vikings fans.
