The P/PTSD Perspective: Ex-QB Savior, Praised Young Viking Bumped Down, and DT Debut

PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, weโre promoting five of their top articles of the past week in โThe P/PTSD Perspective.โ Take a peek at some of their best stuff.
The P/PTSD Perspective: December 13th, 2025
1) Ex-Vikings QB Could Be Asked to Save the Colts: In theory, the Colts could have opted to promote Brett Rypien. The veteran journeyman is a coach in shoulder pads, someone who is employed due to his brains and not his arm. Rather than turn things over to Rypien, the Colts opted to sign Philip Rivers.

2) Vikings Bumped Down a Praised Rookie, Failing to Dress Him for Week 14: Rookie tight end Ben Yurosek is in town to offer blocking. In time, perhaps, he can be someone who catches some passes, but those opportunities are scarce right now. Is he still going to get chances to dress now that Ben Sims is back in town?
3) Young Vikings Defender Set to Make His Season Debut: The Vikings could use a defender who specializes in shutting down the run. There are some good tacklers within that group — one thinks of Blake Cashman, Josh Metellus, Andrew Van Ginkel, and so on — but there does need to be more up front. Could Taki Taimani be the solution?

4) Vikings Workout New Player for Specialist Position: The Vikings have been getting an excellent season out of Ryan Wright. The fourth-year punter recently did an interview for VT, peeling back the curtain on several aspects of being a punter in the NFL. Check out the piece to get a better sense of the player, the position, and why he thrives in Minnesota.
5) Packers Pick Up a Released Vikings Defender: Green Bay could still do something good in 2025. Most in the Gopher State don’t want to see that become a reality, but that outcome is nevertheless out there. The Vikings and Packers play one more time this season.
