PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: August 9th, 2025

1) Bills Sign Departed Viking: Better late than never, right? The Bills are firmly within their Super Bowl window and yet they’re operating from within a brutal AFC. Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs and Lamar Jackson’s Ravens are pretty difficult to overcome; seeing Joe Burrow’s Bengals figure out the roster more broadly would make things even trickier. Does Dan Feeney play some small part in Buffalo succeeding?

2) Former Vikings Defender Ruled Out for the Season: Always tough news when word emerges of a player going down for the full season. The hope will be for a relatively quick recovery alongside an ability for him to continue his career soon.

3) Trouble Brewing for a Vikings QB: Still early, of course, but there’s room for improvement when it comes to Sam Howell. The good news is that there’s a decent bit of physical talent. Just based on his build, arm, and athleticism, Howell can be a strong QB2. Can he make good decisions and start to fully understand the KOC scheme?

4) Vikings Rookie Secures Starting Job: Been in the works for a long time, folks. A team doesn’t sink a 1st into a guard unless there’s a clear expectation that the guard is going to be solid very early. Mr. Jackson has had some tough moments in camp, but he appears to be on a positive trajectory.

5) Undrafted Vikings Rookie Got Some Run with the First Team: The Vikings are a team that loves its undrafted players. At tight end, there’s a particular player who appears to be in a really good spot to earn a significant job. Give the UDFA a pile of credit for the work he’s putting in to seize his opportunity.
