PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: February 22nd, 2025

1) Sam Darnold’s Future is Clearly Leaning One Way: The best guess — keep that critical word in mind: guess — is that Mr. Darnold will be playing elsewhere in 2025. He simply played too well and will cost too much for these Vikings.

2) Former Vikings Corner Wants Back In: Cameron Dantzler has had a wild NFL journey. He wants back in the NFL. Can the young corner who was once a promising player for the Vikings get another shot? He has good length and is a great tackler. Gotta think someone gives him a shot.

3) Vikings Cap Space Moves in Wrong Direction: At first, the initial news was looking more discouraging, but some more recent updates have made the budget more ample. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah is going to have plenty of money to work with once free agency gets moving in March.

4) The Vikings’ High-Priced FA Lineman Looks Like a Goner: The trade to snag Cam Robinson was never about getting a left tackle for the long term. Rather, the goal was to fortify the position after losing Christian Darrisaw (who is the team’s long-term answer at LT). Expect Robinson to get a strong deal in free agency.

5) The Main Issue Holding the Vikings Back from Joining the NFL’s Elite Teams: The drafting has been brutal. Yes, the 2022 crew gets most of the criticism, but we should also remember that half of the 2023 draft class has also been cut. Minnesota desperately needs to improve in this area to become a serious contender.
