PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.
The P/PTSD Perspective: February 15th, 2025
1) With the Brian Flores Riddle Solved, The Vikings Move Ahead with a New Problem on Defense: The first step involved ensuring that the brilliant defensive strategist remains in town. The focus now shifts over to improving the personnel, especially within the secondary.
2) Brian Flores’ Future is Confirmed: Lots of interest in what was going to happen to Flores, someone who is capable of being a strong head coach in the NFL. At the end of the day, the three interviews didn’t lead to a job. Another strong season as the DC should lead to more opportunity in the 2026 offseason.
3) The Vikings Appear to Have Made the First Crucial Decision with Sam Darnold: For a little while, I’ve been arguing that Minnesota could very reasonably pursue a tag-and-trade strategy with Mr. Darnold. Instead, it’s looking more likely that the Vikings allow their top passer from 2024 to venture into free agency.
4) There’s a Front-Runner for the Vikings’ QB2 Spot in 2025: The right answer should be Daniel Jones. He’s a young-yet-experienced passer with great athleticism who needs a fresh start. Plenty of starting experience and a history as a high draft pick. Would be great to have in the room alongside J.J. McCarthy.
5) Vikings Linked to Controversial Quarterback: Collectively, the sentiment in Minnesota is “please no.” Minnesota would likely have better luck looking elsewhere for veteran stability and mentorship.
Enjoy the extra reading, Vikings fans.
