PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: July 19th, 2025

1) 8 Vikings Starters are Gone: Part of the cruel reality of the NFL. The game moves pretty quickly, often leaning toward younger and cheaper options. Minnesota is no different. The key caveat could simply be that a lot of the major FA adds were veterans, such as Ryan Kelly, Jonathan Allen, and Javon Hargrave.

2) 3 Drafted Vikings in Danger of Being Replaced by Undrafted Rookies: Minnesota has often had success when it comes to UDFA talent. Most recently, that has meant seeing linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. shine, but there have been others, as well. Does one of the current adds among the UDFAs jump into a prominent role early?

3) Will Fries, A Pricey Vikings Add, Just Saw His Deal Squashed: The former Colt didn’t come cheap. On the contrary, Minnesota had to be quite uncharacteristic in their approach to addressing the guard spot by sending over some major money. The perspective may have changed a bit, though, with a different guard’s deal.

4) We May Have Found Harrison Smith’s Successor: One could argue that drafting Kyle Hamilton back in 2022 would have been prudent, but that’s not the point of the piece being considered. Apparently, there’s a promising safety who has interest in one day becoming a Viking. Any chance all the stars align so that it actually takes place?

5) The Vikings’ Rookie Runner Has Some Eye-Popping Stats: Safe to say that there’s little suspense when it comes to who is in the first and second slot. Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason were signed for two-year deals for a reason. That third spot, in contrast, is a true competition.
