VikingsTerritory’s Bold NFL Predictions for Summer
June 1st is in the rearview, which means NFL trades are easier to negotiate financially, and after mandatory minicamps next week, training camps get cooking in late July.
Each year, our writers get some bold NFL predictions on record for the summer, and this is the 2025 edition.
The regular season isn’t really that far off, so we asked VikingsTerritory writers to serve up some bold NFL predictions for the summer. Their responses are listed below.

1) Cowboys Trade Micah Parsons
VT Prediction Maker: Tony Schultz
While the salary cap can be a “myth” in some instances, there are others where it looms large. Everything is bigger in Texas, and next year the Cowboys will have a large issue if they re-sign Parsons with Dak Prescott’s inflated contract. Parsons gets shipped off to a team that can handle his contract this year and the large extension he deserves..
2) Kirk Cousins Stays Put in ATL

Kirk Cousins remains on Atlanta’s roster. And not just for the summer, but for the whole 2025 season.
3) Stefon Diggs Released by NE
VT Prediction Maker: Cole Smith
My bold prediction is that Stefon Diggs gets cut before the regular season begins. A recent video could have Diggs in hot water, and he’s also coming off an ACL tear. Cutting Diggs could signal change in New England under Mike Vrabel, showing that no one gets preferential treatment under him.
4) Commanders Acquire RB Travis Etienne
VT Prediction Maker: Dustin Baker
Excluding Etienne, the Jaguars have these running backs right now:
- Tank Bigsby
- Bhayshul Tuten
- LaQuint Allen
- Ja’Quinden Jackson
And in Washington, it’s Brian Robinson, Austin Ekeler, Jeremy McNichols — an underwhelming group for a team that just reached the NFC Championship. Commanders general manager Adam Peters sends a 5th-Round pick to Jacksonville for Etienne, and a fresh start is underway.
5) Jalen Ramsey Traded to Panthers

In the race to trade for Jalen Ramsey, it’s the Carolina Panthers who come out on top as they look to make a run at the NFC South division.
6) Rams Trade for Jalen Ramsey
VT Prediction Maker: Wesley Johnson
It’s no secret that the Dolphins have been actively shopping Ramsey. Look for him to reunite with the Rams due to familiarity and need. While Ramsey likely won’t move the needle as he once would have as a lockdown corner, he would still immediately improve upon what the Rams currently have on the roster.
7) Jaire Alexander Out in GB; Jalen Ramsey In

The Green Bay Packers will part ways with disgruntled star cornerback Jaire Alexander. But they won’t just leave the spot vacant; instead, they will trade for Dolphins corner Jalen Ramsey. It’ll cost them some money and draft capital, but Ramsey is still more dependable at this point in his career than Alexander.
8) A Kumbaya for Jalen Ramsey, Packers
VT Prediction Maker: Brevan Bane
The Green Bay Packers and Jaire Alexander come to a resolution. It seems that the writing on the wall for Alexander was that his Packers career would come to an end soon, but here, I predict the two sides will come to an agreement that keeps the CB in Wisconsin for the foreseeable future.
