Cleveland Browns Trade for Former Minnesota Viking Ahead of Pivotal Week 5 Matchup

The Minnesota Vikings are coming off a frustrating loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4.
After that loss in Dublin, the Vikings are hopping over to London in Week 5 to take on the Cleveland Browns. Before the matchup, though, the Browns have decided to trade for a former Vikings player to add a new face to their offensive line room.
That player is Cam Robinson, who finished the 2024 season with the Vikings before signing with the Houston Texans this spring.
Cleveland Browns Trade for Cam Robinson

The news was reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, who tweeted the following:
“The #Texans are trading OT Cam Robinson to the #Browns per me and @TomPelissero. It’s a 6th round/7th round pick swap in 2027.”
Robinson, a former second-round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars, spent his first seven seasons with the Jags and started 91 total games in Jacksonville.
The left tackle was traded to the Vikings midway through the 2024 campaign after Christian Darrisaw tore his ACL and MCL, ending his season.

Robinson proceeded to start the final 10 games for the Vikings as well as their Wild Card loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
He finished his season with a PFF grade of 64.7, ranking 41st among 59 offensive tackles who played at least 600 snaps. PFF gave him a run blocking grade of 59.9 and a pass blocking grade of 70.4
The latest Robinson trade comes as the Cleveland Browns have experienced similar injury woes on their offensive line as the Vikings.
The Browns lost Dawand Jones to a season-ending knee injury, meaning he will have just 24 games under his belt through his first three seasons. Meanwhile, Jack Conklin has missed each of the past three games because of an elbow injury.

Robinson started Week 1 for the Texans, but since then, his stop in Houston has not gone as expected. He was limited to special teams in both Weeks 2 and 3 before not stepping on the field at all in Week 4.
Now, Robinson will join the Browns to try to stabilize their offensive line woes while giving Cleveland a bit of intel on the Vikings before they meet in Week 5.
