The Cheapest Vikings Game to Catch This Year

It’s here.
The Vikings’ schedule is out, and some games represent quasi-affordable options.
The Minnesota Vikings released their schedule on Wednesday night, featuring a creative tattoo video. The team will field the NFL’s fifth-toughest schedule in 2025 and simply hope strength of schedule doesn’t matter.
And if you plan to hit a Vikings game in person, here’s the most affordable option(s).
Cheapest = Falcons at Vikings | Week 2
While no Vikings game is outwardly inexpensive, Week 2 on Sunday Night Football versus the Atlanta Falcons is the most affordable in mid-May.
Fans can get in U.S. Bank Stadium for about $105 apiece for that contest, a number that will likely fluctuate in the next four months.

Why is this one cheaper than most? Simple — watching primetime games at home is fun, but historically, they’re more affordable to attend because fans have to work the next day. Compared to ordinary Sunday afternoon showings, the aftermarket dwindles a bit.
Here’s your chance to see J.J. McCarthy versus Michael Penix Jr., two draft classmates from 2024.
SI.com’s Daniel Flick, who covers the Falcons, picked Minnesota to prevail and wrote after the schedule release: “Minnesota dismantled Atlanta, 42-21, in Week 14 last season, but the Vikings will have a different quarterback — 2024 first-round pick J.J. McCarthy, who was taken two picks after Penix, is expected to be under center for his second career start. On a primetime stage, Minnesota’s stout defense could prove tough for Penix and the Falcons’ offense, and McCarthy will make enough plays to win.”
Most Affordable Road Option = At Chargers
Oddly, because the Chargers don’t have a longstanding fan base in Los Angeles, tickets to Vikings at Chargers in October aren’t costly. Folks can buy tickets right now to get into SoFi Stadium for roughly fifty bucks.

Notably, this game will feature J.J. McCarthy against his college coach, Jim Harbaugh. The two won a Championship at Michigan in 2023 and split for the NFL a few months later.
If you can find economical airfare and lodging, a chance to see McCarthy versus Harbaugh won’t break the bank per ticket pricing, at least in May.
What to Expect from Vikings vs. Falcons
Kirk Cousins is still on the Falcons’ roster, but Michael Penix Jr. runs the show now. Last year, the Vikings toppled the Falcons with Cousins at the helm, so this go-round feels different.
Atlanta should, in theory, be a middle-of-the-road team, likely a squad finishing around 8-9 when it’s all said and done.
The Falcons notably improved their defensive line last month, drafting Jalon Walker (Georgia) and James Pearce Jr. (Tennessee) in Round 1. Those men will take time to develop, but Atlanta is upwardly trending.
What to Expect from Vikings at Chargers
Any Jim Harbaugh-led team will be sturdy; it’s just a football prerequisite, no matter the level — college or pro.
Minnesota played the Chargers two years ago at U.S. Bank Stadium, narrowly losing after a pass from the aforementioned Cousins bounced off T.J. Hockenson’s fingertips with the game on the line.

Los Angeles will be better than Atlanta, but the real draw at SoFi on that Thursday night will be McCarthy against Harbaugh.
ESPN’s Kris Rhim predicted about the Chargers following the schedule release: “The Chargers won’t win double-digit games. Of the Chargers’ 11 wins last season, just three came over teams with a winning record, with two wins over the Denver Broncos and one over Cincinnati. L.A. benefited mightily from the NFL’s fifth easiest schedule in 2024 and beat up on some of the league’s worst teams in Harbaugh’s first season. With a much harder schedule and the Chargers roster not much improved from last season, it will be an uphill battle for this team to hit double-digit wins in 2025.”
Most Expensive?
Removing the Dublin and London games from the equation — those are guaranteed to be expensive — the priciest games on the Vikings’ agenda in 2025 are at Detroit and at Green Bay, priced over $300 right now just to enter the joint.

For home games, Eagles at Vikings offers tickets around $170 for nosebleed seats. That’s the cost of doing business when hosting the Super Bowl champions.
