Ali Siddiqui’s Prediction for Packers-Vikings

The 4-6 Minnesota Vikings and 6-3-1 Green Bay Packers will face off Sunday at Lambeau Field. Green Bay leads the all-time series 66-60-3, but Minnesota has won three of the last four meetings.
After a surprising road win against the Detroit Lions three weeks ago, Minnesota has lost two in a row, both at home. Many are having doubts about J.J. McCarthy after how he looked in both games (two touchdown passes and four interceptions).
Ali Siddiqui’s prediction for the Vikings–Packers matchup offers a sharp read on how Week 12 could unfold between the NFC North rivals.
Green Bay won 27-20 last week on the road against the New York Giants. These two teams faced each other last season in week four at Green Bay.
Forecasting Packers-Vikings in Week 12
Sam Darnold went 20/28 for 275 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. Aaron Jones rushed for 93 yards on 22 carries. He also caught four passes for 46 yards. Justin Jefferson caught six passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Addison caught three passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for a seven-yard touchdown.

“At the end of the day, we believe in each other more than anyone else believes in us,” Darnold said.
On defense, Blake Cashman recorded a game-high 11 tackles.
For Green Bay, Jordan Love went 32/54 for 389 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions. Jayden Reed caught seven passes for 139 yards and a touchdown. Dontayvion Wicks caught five passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, Quay Walker recorded a game-high eight tackles and a sack.
Minnesota won 31-29 to improve to 4-0 on the season. They finished at 14-3 – clinching a Wild Card spot. They, however, fell to the Los Angeles Rams on the road in the first round. Green Bay fell to 2-2 with the loss and finished at 11-6. They fell to the Philadelphia Eagles on the road in the first round of the playoffs.
The chances of Minnesota making it to the playoffs for the second consecutive year are not looking good. Even if they find a way to win this Sunday, it does not look good. Had they won even one of these past two games and then won in Green Bay, it would have been a very different story.

Green Bay has been hit hard by injuries lately, including losing Tucker Kraft for the season, but this is a home game, so they should be favored to win. Yes, Minnesota could pull off an upset just like they did in Detroit, but Green Bay is the better team.
Even if Minnesota somehow sneaks into the playoffs, the chances of them advancing would be very slim. The biggest key for the rest of the season for them is how McCarthy looks. If he can play solidly in these final seven games, it would give the organization and fans reasons to be optimistic for 2026 and possibly beyond.

Minnesota needs McCarthy to be a serviceable quarterback for years to come, or else this franchise could very well be in rough shape over the next several years.
Dallas Turner is coming off a very good game, and his play the rest of the season will matter plenty too, along with other young players such as Donovan Jackson, Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, and Levi Drake Rodriguez.
Divisional games are always exciting for fans and players. They can be very unpredictable, and even if the team(s) are struggling, it gives all parties involved bragging rights, which is part of why rivalry games are very fun and entertaining.
Prediction: Green Bay wins 24-16
