7 Trades the Vikings Could Pull Off This Month

The NFL trade deadline is four weeks away on the nose, and Minnesota Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah generally pulls off at least one trade each October or November like clockwork.
It’s about time for the Minnesota Vikings’ trade rumor mill to really heat up, and to prepare you for that season, have a look at these candidates.
This year has no reason to be different, as the Vikings have a 3-2 record entering their Week 6 bye. The club arguably has roster needs at offensive line — due to injuries — and perhaps cornerback.
So, here’s a look at seven players that the Vikings should investigate via trade.

1. Aaron Brewer | C | MIA
Approximate Price: 5th-Round Pick or 6th-Round Pick
The Miami Dolphins’ season is swirling down the toilet, and before too long, that organization could a) Fire skipper Mike McDaniel b) Have a fire sale to rebuild or reset.
Brewer has started every game in the NFL since the start of 2022, the guaranteed money on his contract expires after this season, and he’s logged a 78.8 Pro Football Focus grade in 2025 through five games. That’s the second-best mark in the business among all centers behind Kansas City Chiefs lineman Creed Humphrey.
If Miami holds the aforementioned fire sale, the Vikings should inquire about Brewer, given Ryan Kelly’s concussion status is uncertain.
2. Jordan Meredith | C | LV
Approximate Price: 6th-Round Pick
The reasoning for Meredith is the same as that of Brewer in Miami. The Las Vegas Raiders’ season is not trending well, and they could be sellers in the next four weeks.
Meredith’s contract will expire at the end of this year, he has notched a 64.1 PFF grade through five games, and he has a history with reserve center duty until this season (when he’s started each game).
If the Blake Brandel experiment at center goes pear-shaped and Ryan Kelly does not return, Meredith could start for Minnesota.
3. Jakobi Meyers | WR | LV
Approximate Price: 5th-Round Pick
Meyers will turn 29 next month and is on pace for 986 receiving yards this season. He actually requested a trade not long ago, so of all men on this list, Meyers may be the most likely to be traded — somewhere.
The Adam Thielen trade experiment in Minnesota has flopped through five weeks. The guy has 4 receptions. Meyers’ contract voids at this season’s end, and sans a trade, he’ll hit free agency in five months.
Meanwhile, Vikings WR3 Jalen Nailor’s contract will expire as well at the end of the year, and trading for Meyers now could forge a path to a contract extension and WR3 for the next few years.
4. Ethan Pocic | C | CLE
Approximate Price: 5th-Round Pick or 6th-Round Pick
Adofo-Mensah has ties to the Cleveland Browns’ front office — he worked in Cleveland under Andrew Berry before Minnesota handed him the big job — so the negotiation pipeline should be open.

It’s unclear if Cleveland will mail it in on 2025, especially with Dillon Gabriel taking over last weekend.
Like most players on this list, Pocic is scheduled to hit free agency in March. His 62.7 PFF marks could fit nicely in Minnesota, snapping the ball to J.J. McCarthy and protecting him along the way. Three years ago, Pocic was one of the league’s top centers.
5. Brandon Stephens | CB | NYJ
Approximate Price: 6th-Round Pick
Stephens has a 67.6 PFF score out in New York, and the Jets have a 0-5 record. They’re going nowhere fast.
New York already employs Sauce Gardner, Azareye’h Thomas, and Michael Carter II. Thomas and Carter II are rookies. Stephens may be expendable.
This one may be the least likely on the list because Stephens just signed with the Jets last offseason.
6. Alontae Taylor | CB | NO
Approximate Price: 4th-Round Pick
Taylor, 26, is an ascending cornerback playing on the final year of his contract in New Orleans. If the Saints offer no extension, he, too, will test free agency in March.
In fact, Taylor, a former 2nd-Rounder, may headline the 2026 free-agent cornerback market, so from Minnesota’s standpoint, why not send a draft pick to New Orleans now and lock him in for the long haul?
Remember — Minnesota is one injury to Byron Murphy Jr. or Isaiah Rodgers away from outright cornerback panic, mainly because Jeff Okudah has not panned out to start the season.

New Orleans also has rookie corner Quincy Riley ready and waiting for an increased workload.
7. Joshua Williams | CB | KC
Approximate Price: 6th-Round Pick
Here’s Williams’ passer-rating-against through three seasons in the NFL:
- 2025: Has Not Played
- 2024: 77.4
- 2023: 82.7
- 2022: 104.9
The 4th-R0under from 2022 appears to be dog-housed in Kansas City at the moment, and some NFL-themed websites have Williams on the trade block.
If he’s not playing in Kansas City, why not ship him to Minnesota?
