5 Predictions for the Vikings’ Sexy Free Agent Splash

Free agency is about five weeks away, and the NFL Draft will occur in late April.

So, we asked Vikings fans about predictions for the Vikings’ sexy free-agent splash, and these were their responses.

Question to all: Predict the Vikings’ biggest free-agent signing. Which player will it be? This would be a newcomer from free agency.

Here’s that list.

1. Milton Williams (DT)

The Vikings need help getting pass pressure up the middle, and I predict the signing of Milton Williams will do just that.

2. Drew Dalman (CB)

Drew Dalman with a bullet. There are few options for centers in free agency.

3. Trey Smith (OG)

Smith is the best free-agent guard on the market this of-season. It’ll take a good chunk of cap to get him, but he could help cement one of the top offensive lines in the league to protect J.J. McCarthy.

Smith is a must-sign.

4. Teven Jenkins (OG)

I think the Vikings will sign Teven Jenkins. He fits the profile — not the highest-rated, but with high upside. With the Bears organization being a mess, there could be untapped potential if he signed with a real team.

t5. D.J. Reed (CB)

I want to go with Trey Smith, the popular pick, but I’m going to say D.J. Reed will be the biggest free-agent signing.

I think the Vikings will sign D.J. Reed, a CB formerly of the Jets. Working with Flores, I believe he can continue his hot streak and possibly have a career year. Skol!

If the Jets don’t lock him up, we must go after D.j. Reed at corner. We need to upgrade that room!
