It’s been a long-awaited return for the Minnesota Vikings.

The team’s WR2, Jordan Addison, is finally going to suit up for the team in 2025 after serving a three-game suspension to begin the year.

The receiver spoke to the media following Wednesday’s practice, and his responses should have fans fired up.

The third-year receiver has turned in a couple very big seasons for the Vikings since being selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He’s put together 133 receptions for 1786 yards and 19 touchdowns through his first 32 NFL games, and his presence should be a major boost to the Vikings’ passing game.

It seems like his chemistry with Carson Wentz has been great too as the team preps for Sunday’s game in Dublin despite Wednesday apparently being the first time they’ve gotten a chance to work together on the field.

“We just worked a little bit after practice to get the timing down, but we were clicking, though. It was like we’ve been playing together for a minute,” Addison said.

To this point in the season, Minnesota’s passing offense hasn’t exactly blown the roof off U.S. Bank Stadium. As a team, the Vikings have the third-fewest passing yards in the league through three weeks (437) and rank ahead of only the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets. Their EPA per pass play of -0.36 also ranks second-worst in the NFL, ahead of only the Cincinnati Bengals.

That is in part due to Jake Browning having the worst EPA per dropback in the entire NFL (-1.14) following a disastrous game against the Vikings last weekend.

Hopefully, Addison’s presence will also open things up a bit more for Justin Jefferson, who, by his standards at least, has been held in check through three weeks with just 12 receptions for 200 yards and a single touchdown. For a player who has lived in the top-five of receiving yards for his career, it’s strange to see him just barely hovering in the top-20 through three weeks.

Addison was also asked about what it will feel like to get that first catch.

“That’s all I’ve been thinking about, I’m ready,” he said.

So are we.
