Reactions as the Vikings Keep London Streak Alive

The Minnesota Vikings battled through a growing injury list, tough Cleveland defense, and a rushing attack that carved through them at will. To claim their third win of the season and keep their 100% winning streak in London alive.
VikingsTerritory examines the reactions as the Vikings continue their London streak.
The Vikings came home from a gruelling two-week trip overseas with their winning record intact. It had never been done before, and it seems to have taken its toll with the injuries mounting up.

However, defeat by the Steelers in Dublin was followed by victory over the Browns in London on Sunday, and the team heads home to Minnesota and a much-needed bye week with a 3-2 record.
The team fought hard to overcome a difficult position and win the game at the last minute, and they were rightfully pleased.
Chaotic games in which Minnesota somehow comes out victorious have been the hallmark of the Kevin O’Connell era, and this was another one.
Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison
People quickly realised that Jordan Addison was riding the bench with no explanation as to why that would be forthcoming from the team. Until the team released the news, it was due to a coach’s decision, amid speculation.
Carson Wentz led a game-winning drive, finishing with a touchdown pass to Addison as the Vikings took an unassailable lead over the Browns, 21-17. We discovered post-game that Addison’s punishment was for missing a team meeting this week. The WR went from the naughty step to the game winner over the course of the English afternoon.

Justin Jefferson, who led the Vikings’ offensive charge with a 100-yard receiving game in back-to-back weeks overseas. Showcased once again that he’s not just an individual great player but a great teammate, putting responsibility on his own shoulders for needing to guide his younger teammate.
Jefferson was also asked about his success with so many different quarterbacks throughout his career. The Vikings’ superstar made it clear again that, no matter the circumstances, he expects to go out on the field and make things happen.
The Future for Carson Wentz
Wentz has done a solid job over the last three games, leading the team to two wins. Now with a week off, attention is turning to the forthcoming return of JJ McCarthy. There is no timeline for McCarthy’s return with O’Connell simply stating that he is looking forward to the team getting healthy when asked about the QB situation.
Wentz himself was pragmatic about his situation and the pending return of McCarthy. The man who is living out his childhood can only focus on himself, particularly his injured left shoulder, and be ready if he is called upon again.
Injuries’ Bite but Scares in London Not Serious
Both Wentz and left tackle Christian Darrisaw left the first half early, causing panic stations among the Vikings fanbase. Fears were alleviated when both returned for the second half, although Darrisaw exited the second half early, too. The explanation given was that he is on a snap count as he continues from his knee injury.
The bye week has certainly come at the right time for Minnesota, as they will hope to get key players back healthy for a long stretch leading up to the end of the season. The Vikings return in two weeks with a home game against the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
