Questions Answered: Sexy Vikings Draft Meeting, QB Prediction, Finally a DT?
Also, please note: These are opinion-based responses. Some answers will be incorrect from time to time. But we’ll try to keep that to a minimum.

Q: So, the Vikings are meeting with Ashton Jeanty at the Combine. Does that mean they could draft him? Please say yes.

Answer: They’re indeed meeting with him, but finding a way to draft Jeanty is highly unlikely.
We don’t see Jeanty falling past the Dallas Cowboys at pick No. 12, and he might even become a Chicago Bear at No. 10.
In all likelihood, Minnesota will do its due diligence on the off-chance Jeanty slides on draft night. We agree, though, that adding Jeanty to Kevin O’Connell’s offense would be unbelievably sweet. Fingers crossed.
Q: What’s your prediction for how the Vikings QB thing shakes out?

Answer: Here goes —
- Sam Darnold leaves via free agency to the Los Angeles Rams or Las Vegas Raiders.
- J.J. McCarthy is named the QB1 for 2025.
- Daniel Jones re-signs for $12 million or so to serve as QB2.
That’s our best prophecy here.
Q: Will Minnesota finally upgrade DT this offseason?

Answer: Yes.
Kevin O’Connell and Kwesi Adofo-Mensah spoke to the media on Tuesday, and among many topics, Adofo-Mensah addressed his team’s trenches.
“To play January football, there’s a certain way you’ve got to play. You’ve got to be able to control the ball, and be able to get after the passer with just four. We need to get better and will,” the Vikings boss told reporters.
Adofo-Mensah has led the organization for four offseasons as of 2025. This is the first time he’s blatantly acknowledged defensive tackle as a roster concern. Minnesota already has the defensive line’s edges squared away with Jonathan Greenard, Andrew Van Ginkel, and Dallas Turner. The only place that needs a serious upgrade is the DT spot next to Harrison Phillips.
We firmly believe Minnesota will sign a player like Milton Williams in free agency or draft one like Walter Nolen in April.
It’s time.
