Q: Any chance the Vikings are the team to trade for Myles Garrett?
![myles garrett](https://vikingsterritory.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/USATSI_24306097-788x444.jpg)
Answer: No, probably not.
EDGE rusher might be the Vikings’ deepest position, at least per possible starters, entering the 2025 offseason. Fans already struggled with Dallas Turner experiencing limited snaps this season because Jonathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel were “too good” to be off the field.
In theory, Minnesota could trade Turner and a 1st-Round pick to Cleveland for Garrett, but generally speaking, that seems unlikely and more like a Madden thing.
Adding Garrett would be pretty sweet, but the goal is for Turner to morph into a Garrett-like contributor.
We predict nope on a Garrett trade to Minnesota, and the prediction is not that bold.
Q: Who would you like to see as the Vikings’ WR3 in 2025?
![](https://vikingsterritory.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Cooper-Kupp-vs.-Vikings-788x444.jpg)
Answer: Cooper Kupp.
Kupp is under contract with the 2025 Rams. But that may not come to fruition. “Who knows what’s going to happen? That’s out of my control. And we will see what it’s going to be. … I don’t have any clarity on what that’s going to look like or anything like that. So yeah, obviously would love to be in L.A., but I don’t know what that’s going to look like,” Kupp told ESPN two weeks ago after his team lost in the Divisional Round to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Rams could trade Kupp this offseason — probably for a late-round pick — and save about $12.5 million in cap space. A roster cut before June 1st would incur a $22 million dead cap hit, with $7.5 million in cap relief. After June 1st, the details are more favorable, costing Los Angeles about $15 million in dead cap, with $15 million in savings.
If Kupp is available, the Vikings should pursue him.
Otherwise, Amari Cooper would be sweet, too.
And this is all if Minnesota realizes that WR3s can be more productive than Jalen Nailor. Stay tuned for a verdict on that one.
Q: What’s the Super Bowl prediction from VikingsTerritory?
![](https://vikingsterritory.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/USATSI_22502065-788x444.jpg)
Answer: 31-27 Chiefs.
We’re not betting against Patrick Mahomes, and neither should you.
Do you really want to wake up Monday morning and ask yourself, “Why did I bet against the Chiefs?” That’s probably the safest way to analyze Super Bowl LIX.
The Chiefs have the necessary defense to win another chip — they’ve shown it already in back-to-back seasons — wonderfully ending the Tyreek Hill era at the perfect time four years ago. Offloading Hill enabled Kansas City to surround Mahomes with defense. The gamble paid off.
Kansas City will win an exciting game. Just like last time.
