The Adam Thielen Situation That Has Vikings Fans on Hold

The Minnesota Vikings have been rumored to be tracking Adam Thielen for several days now. Their wide receiver room is a mess with Jordan Addison suspended and Jalen Nailor hurt. Truthfully, Kevin O’Connell’s group could have used additional talent even before those developments.
Adam Thielen continues to be an exciting trade candidate for the Minnesota Vikings, and it’s time to end the waiting game and get it done.
Adam Thielen is no longer the superstar he once was. That said, he’s still a high-quality veteran with dependable hands and good route-running skills. Minnesota fans would be excited about the native returning home, but he would make a significant impact on offense as well.

It’s understandable to think that Carolina would be hesitant to trade Thielen. While they shouldn’t necessarily be good, Thielen is the best option for quarterback Bryce Young. The youngster already struggled and was benched once; presumably, the fewer optimal options he has, the worse off he will be.
Everyone Awaits an Adam Thielen Verdict
Since the Panthers are expected to be bad, they can also afford to acquire additional future assets. Thielen has a contract that Carolina doesn’t need to pay, and they could turn a draft pick into something that fits into the future as well. That’s the talking points Minnesota general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah must focus on.

It certainly feels like too much has already been said for Thielen to stay with Carolina. The Panthers should have controlled the narrative more if they truly wanted to keep him. Minnesota has far too many people who think it’s a logical possibility not to ultimately pull off the move. It’s a quick closing in on a series of events that needs a conclusion.
The 53-man roster must be solidified by Tuesday, August 26, at 3pm CDT. Minnesota would love to have Thielen part of the group and then figure out what other work needs to be done as the opposition sends players on their fringes packing.

A reunion with Thielen has seemed like something fun and necessary for some time. Make it happen.
