Right before the 2025 NFL Draft, VikingsTerritory will publish a final, lock-it-in predictive mock draft.

VikingsTerritory’s Penultimate Mock Draft of 2025

In the meantime, consider this version the second-to-last version, a prediction of how the Minnesota Vikings’ 2025 draft might shake out.

For starters, we forecasted a trade with the New York Giants, in which New York received Minnesota’s 24th pick and 2026 3rd-Rounder for picks No. 34, 65, 99, and 105.

Pick No. 34 (R2)
Shavon Revel Jr. (CB)
East Carolina

Revel has two knocks against him that might shove his stock into Round 2 — only two.

He’s “old.” Revel Jr. is already 24. And he tore his ACL during his final season at East Carolina. If not for those two items, Revel Jr. could be a Top 15 pick. He has the size and talent for it.

So, the Vikings brush age and injury history aside, picking Revel Jr. after the trade back with the Giants.

Pick No. 65 (R3)
Marcus Mbow (G)
Purdue

Mbow would become a candidate to swipe Blake Brandel’s job at left guard. He’s ultra-athletic with a wrestler’s mentality.

The Boilermaker also has position flexibility, meaning he can play tackle in a pinch if Christian Darrisaw isn’t ready to start the 2025 campaign or if Brian O’Neill misses time.

He also met with the Vikings this week.

Pick No. 97 (R3)
Terrance Ferguson (TE)
Oregon

Eventually — he may not be ready in Week 1 — Ferguson can turn into a deadly redzone threat for Minnesota. He has the athleticism to thrive as a productive tight end, especially if his pass protection stabilizes.

The guy is 6’5,” 240 pounds, with 4.6 speed.

Pick No. 99 (R3)
Deone Walker (DT)
Kentucky

Walker recently revealed that he played his final season at Kentucky with a broken back. When the 2025 draft cycle began a few months ago, he was a fringe 1st-Rounder and habitual 2nd-Round occupant.

After the medicals check out, Minnesota picks him in Round 3 and stows him away for 2026 or 2027 duty.

Pick No. 105 (R4)
Tez Johnson (WR)
Oregon

The only reason Johnson isn’t talked about in Rounds 1, 2, or 3 is his size. He weighs about 155 pounds. Everything else checks out, especially his route and deep speed.

The Vikings take the plunge, and Johnson vies for WR4 duty this summer.

Pick No. 139 (R5)
Jaylen Reed (S)
Penn State

Brian Flores needs a rookie safety in the pipeline to prepare for life after Harrison Smith, and Reed gets the call in Round 5.

He can line up all over the defensive secondary, a bonus for Flores’ system. Reed also plays special teams.

Pick No. 187 (R6)
Brashard Smith (RB)
SMU

Minnesota met with this young tailback for a Top 30 visit, and because he pass-blocks with the best of them, he becomes a Viking on Saturday, April 26th, on the menu for RB3 responsibilities.

Smith will pair nicely in 2025 with Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason. He might even see meaningful action because both players are no strangers to injuries.
