It’s another infraction for Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison, according to Los Angeles Daily News.

Vikings Star Reportedly Arrested

The rookie standout from 2023 was reportedly arrested for suspicion of DUI near Los Angeles International Airport on Friday.

Los Angeles Daily News published, “The California Highway Patrol was dispatched at about 11:10 p.m. Friday to a report of a disabled vehicle blocking lanes from the westbound Glen Anderson (105) Freeway to northbound Sepulveda Boulevard, according to a CHP statement.”

California Highway Patrol also reported that Addison was asleep in his Rolls-Royce when officers arrived on the scene.

Addison, already no stranger to legal woes, performed wonderfully during his first season with the Vikings, tabulating 70 receptions for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023. He’s Minnesota’s WR2 behind Justin Jefferson.

Last July, Addison was charged with reckless driving after traveling 140 MPH in a 55 MPH zone in the Twin Cities. He said after the incident last summer, “Yesterday morning I made a mistake and used poor judgment. I recognize and own that. I am going to learn from this and not repeat the behavior. I am truly sorry.”

Addison later claimed the reckless driving involved a dog emergency, though details on the clarification were sketchy.

Los Angeles Times also noted on the latest ordeal, “Addison, 22, was arrested at approximately 11:36 p.m. after a DUI investigation was complete. He was released at 1:36 a.m. Saturday, the CHP added.”

Addison made headlines on Instagram last week with a comment about his team’s matchup with the New York Giants in eight weeks. A fan, Will McDonough, insinuated the Vikings would lose at MetLife Stadium on September 8th, and Addison quite bluntly disagreed. McDonough wrote, “And their still gonna lose week one.”

Brushing aside the grammatical gaffe from McDonough, Addison replied, “How much u wan bet?”

Via Vikings.com in June, Addison personally said he’s focused on winning at the line of scrimmage in 2024. “That’s been a main focus for me, and I feel like it’s been paying off. My work is showing out there. Having a plan once I get to the line, being decisive and just really making sure I’m locked into my release.”

“Last year, I wasn’t as confident in my releases. I wasn’t being decisive. I didn’t have a plan when I was coming up to the line; I was kind of just freelancing, trying to do what I could do. Make something work. But now, like I said, it’s my focus,” Addison added.

Now, for a second consecutive summer, the focus will turn to his legal agenda instead of his personal improvement plan.

It is unclear from the LADN article if Addison was drunk, nor did it state his BAC.

Addison’s teammate Khyree Jackson was killed last weekend in a car accident allegedly involving a drunk driver.

The Vikings stated about the latest Addison incident: “We are aware of Jordan Addison’s arrest this past Friday and are currently gathering more information regarding the incident.”
