The P/PTSD Perspective: Beefing Up WR Depth, Star Player Gets Good News, and Ousted Kicker

Katie Stratman-USA TODAY Sports.

PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: September 14th, 2024

1) Vikings Strengthen WR Depth by Re-Signing Promising Rookie: Bringing the rookie back into the fold allows for continued development. Jeshaun Jones was part of the UDFA haul after the 2024 NFL Draft but didn’t get onto the 53-man roster. The young fella now gets a chance to compete and develop on the practice squad.

2) Vikings Star Player Gets Some Positive Injury News: As the week has progressed, the news has been a bit more mixed. Jordan Addison is the clear-cut WR2 in Minnesota, someone who has the capacity to be a low-end WR1. Notably, he had a dominant performance as the WR1 against the 49ers last season.

3) Ousted Vikings Kicker Stays in the Division: Been a wild ride for Greg Joseph. The kicker has been around the NFL lately, shifting over from Minnesota to Green Bay. When the Packers decided to move on, the Lions came calling (eventually). Any chance Joseph drills a kick against the Vikings at some point? Any chance it arrives at a critical moment?

4) 5 Instant Takeaways from Vikings at Giants: The Week 1 contest went about as well as possible. Minnesota travelled to New Jersey with a decent bit of doubt and then travelled back to Minnesota with a decisive 28-6 victory. Of course, the win came against a horrible team, but at least it helps to prove that the Vikings aren’t going to be disastrous in 2024.

5) Janik Eckardt’s 5 Predictions for the 2024 Vikings: Being a sports writer can be a perilous task. Tossing predictions out into the internet can sometimes result in a swing and a miss. The managing editor for PurplePTSD presses into the uncertainty and offers some predictions anyhow.
