The P/PTSD Perspective: Waiving a Lineman, Digesting Dead Money, and Saying Goodbye
PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.
The P/PTSD Perspective: June 8th, 2024
1) Vikings Waive Young Offensive Lineman: Making it in the NFL as an UDFA isn’t for the faint of heart. The offseason roster competition can be intense, even in June. Hopefully, the young lineman gets a shot to hop onto a different roster to show what he can do.
2) The Vikings are Digesting League-Leading Dead Money: Per OTC, the Vikings are now sitting in 3rd. Snagging bronze in the dead money games is better than snagging gold, right? Regardless, the broader takeaway remains: the team is working through a large portion of the budget being inaccessible.
3) The Vikings Have Already Said Goodbye to Two of Their Newest Players: Kevin O’Connell talked about the issue not too long ago, noting that being at the maximum roster total means every addition means a subtraction. The Vikings have welcomed some new talent in so that means saying goodbye, as well.
4) NFC North Round Up: Ranking the RB Rooms for All 4 Teams: Tossing Aaron Jones into the mix changes the water on the purple beans, doesn’t it? By no means is running success a sure thing in Minnesota but there’s optimism that things could turn out.
5) The Latest on the Kirk Cousins Tampering Situation: Someday, there will be a firm resolution to the situation. What’s certain at this stage is that Mr. Cousins is now calling Georgia home. He’ll be looking to lead the Falcons deep into the playoffs.
