PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: March 2nd, 2024

1) The Vikings’ Next Signings Appear Straightforward: The Theo Jackson signing makes a lot of sense. The young safety carved out a nice role for himself last year, so bringing him back was always likely. Very likely, next up are some of the RFAs and/or ERFAs. Blake Brandel, in particular, looks like a shoo-in to be kept around.

2) The Vikings’ Cap Space Just Took a Major Leap: The Vikings got the benefit that every team got. But, of course, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah won’t be complaining. Every NFL GM craves cap space, so the unexpectedly hearty boost to Minnesota’s 2024 budget will have been met with some enthusiasm in Eagan. Expect that money to get put to good use in short order.

3) Predicting the Fates of 6 Vikings Free Agents: A lot of consequential decisions are ahead of the Vikings. So while there’s an increased budget, Adofo-Mensah will still need to be making some difficult decisions. Take look at what PurplePTSD managing editor Josh Frey thinks is going to happen.

4) One Team Makes the Most Sense for Harrison Smith if He Leaves the Vikings in 2024: No doubt, the prediction about the Dallas Cowboys makes a pile of sense. Mike Zimmer just took over as the defensive architect for Jerry Jones and Mike McCarthy, so getting his star safety is sensible enough. Notably, former Vikings linebacker and current team analyst Ben Leber ventured into the same idea.

5) New Justin Jefferson Update Should Bring a Sigh of Relief for Vikings Fans: Folks, the wide receiver will be sticking around Minnesota. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and Kevin O’Connell have been consistent on this front, always explaining that their full intention is to bring him back. The GM has even made recent comments about paying Jefferson like the best receiver in the NFL.
