The P/PTSD Perspective: GM Trading to Save Face, Passing on McCarthy, and Surprise TE
PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.
The P/PTSD Perspective: July 20th, 2024
1) A Trade is the Last Chance to Save Face for Vikings’ GM: Jump into a time machine and Kwesi Adofo-Mensah likely does things a bit differently. The possibility is there that he still does the Lions trade but scooping up Lewis Cine at No. 32 was a bad move. Does Adofo-Mensah trade the young safety?
2) What if Minnesota Passed on J.J. McCarthy in the 2024 NFL Draft?: For starters, there would be a lot less enthusiasm and intrigue right now. People in Minnesota are excited about what the Wolverine will be able to do as a Viking. And, to be sure, the team’s main leaders are enthused about his potential, as well.
3) Vikings’ Overlooked TE Could Leave them “Pleasantly Surprised”: Every year, there are undrafted players who exceed expectations. Last season, it was Ivan Pace, but Minnesota legends like Adam Thielen and C.J. Ham also took this path. Any chance Trey Knox steals a spot on the roster?
4) There Will Be Another Viking in the Ring of Honor: Good to see an all-time great Viking getting the recognition. The interception numbers are wild, the kind of stat that is supremely difficult to match. The ceremony should be a lot of fun for fans, especially ones who have been around long enough to remember his playing days.
5) 3 Secret Vikings Breakout Candidates: Of the three, Jaquelin Roy is the one whom I have the most faith in. In fact, I’ve written about the young defensive tackle as the breakout candidate hiding in plain sight. The young DT has a shot at putting together an excellent season.
Enjoy the extra reading, Vikings fans.
