PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: December 7th, 2024

1) Outrageous Vikings Trade Idea Hits the Internet: Genuinely, this one is pretty bad. Safe to say that there’s zero chance Minnesota will be trading Kevin O’Connell — yes, O’Connell, the head coach — to the Chicago Bears. The NFC North rival will need to look elsewhere for a coaching solution.

2) Vikings Rookie’s Comeback on the Horizon: Credit to Parker Romo for putting together a rock-solid stretch of football in replacement of Will Reichard. Getting the K1 back, though, would be a boost for the team. The rookie kicker showed off tremendous ability before needing to go on the IR.

3) The Andrew Booth Jr. Trade Picks Up an Extra Detail: For a little while, it looked like the return in the Andrew Booth trade — corner Nahshon Wright — wasn’t going to get a real shot with the Vikings. In Week 13, though, he got activated off the practice squad. Do we see the super tall corner earn more snaps before the season reaches an end?

4) There’s a Stephon Gilmore Injury Update: Minnesota tends to be cautious with injuries. The playoffs are looking like a near certainty so playing things a bit slower in Week 14 so that the CB1 is ready for the postseason seems like a good move. Look for Fabian Moreau to snag some snaps.

5) Checking in on Dallas Turner as the Vikings’ Season Hits the Stretch Run: No doubt, the season has been quieter for Turner than most hoped. The good news is that he’s still super young and super talented. The expectation should be that he’ll be featured in 2025 as the EDGE3 who soaks up a lot of plays, especially on passing downs.
