PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: August 10th, 2024

1) Former Vikings Kicker Gets the Boot: Always tough to see someone get cut, but the good news is that Riley Patterson got scooped up immediately. He’s not a bad kicker. In a perfect world, Patterson will be able to settle in somewhere and be the K1 for a little while. At the very least, though, he keeps getting chances.

2) The Vikings are Apparently Looking for a New Receiver: Filling out the depth. Workouts happen all of the time, so Kwesi Adofo-Mensah is doing some due diligence on players who are available. In all likelihood, the team will roll with who they have while maybe adding another option.

3) The Newest Viking is Already Running with the First Team: In some ways, that’s a good thing. Fabian Moreau got added and has been picking up the system quickly. And yet on the other hand: what does it say that a recently-added player is already the CB4 and getting work with the 1st team?

4) Apparently, a Vikings Veteran Has Switched Positions: For his entire NFL career, Dalton Risner has been a left guard. And, to be sure, there’s still a chance that he takes over at left guard for the Vikings. As of right now, though, the man is living on the depth chart as the RG2. Does he overtake Ed Ingram?

5) A Good Problem Emerges from Vikings Training Camp: Ah, to only have good problems in life. Minnesota’s QBs — note the plural — have been playing well. Is it possible that there’s a bit of a problem? Certainly, lots of QB talent is preferable to too little.
