1) Yet Another Former Viking Joins Forces with Cousins in Atlanta: The Falcons are collecting former Vikings like it’s going out of style. This time, it’s a corner — Harrison Hand — getting a shot to pickup work with Atlanta. The Week 14 game could feature a lot of familiar faces.
2) The Vikings Have Set Their Window: Syncing up the contracts for Justin Jefferson and J.J. McCarthy isn’t an accident. At some point in the next five seasons, the Vikings expect to be contenders. Ideally, the window will span multiple seasons. Starting in 2025, the Vikings will be looking to make a rapid ascent.
3) Vikings’ New DL Coach Hypes Lean, Locked-In, 295-Pound Defender: There’s opportunity for Jerry Tillery. No one can debate that he has a pile of talent. Partner that talent with a prove-it deal in Minnesota and then a great opportunity to take over as the leader at 3T. There’s potential here, folks.
4) Vikings Say Goodbye to Young Receiver, Find Immediate Replacement Along D-Line: A GM’s work is never done. Things slow down in June and into the initial moments of July, but there is still some roster shuffling that takes place.
5) Young Vikings Pass Catcher Gets “Clean Up on His Knee”: Tough news for Nick Muse, but the tone from Kevin O’Connell was one of optimism. The thinking is that this will allow Mr. Muse to get back to 100% and be able to be a full go for training camp. Look for Muse to push for a roster spot.
