PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: April 6th, 2024

1) The Vikings’ GM Looks at a FA Add as “Mr. Do Everything:” Andrew Van Ginkel is getting a ton of hype. The former Dolphin will be leaned on to be Minnesota’s EDGE2. Crucially, his role won’t be limited to just pinning his ears back to go after opposing passers. He’s going to be tasked with dropping into coverage and playing some off-ball linebacker.

2) Minnesota’s Next QB1 is Likely to Arrive Soon, But There’s an Overlooked Name to Consider: Bo Nix could become Minnesota’s next franchise QB. I understand that’s an unpopular opinion and yet it’s likelier than most people realize (as in, there’s greater than a zero percent chance). He put together wild production at Oregon and could be had later in the 1st.

3) From Out of Left Field, Former Vikings GM Gives a Potential QB Fit for Minnesota: Rick Spielman didn’t fully figure out the QB position while in charge in Minnesota. The closest he got was with Kirk Cousins, but maybe Sam Bradford, Teddy Bridgewater, and Case Keenum deserve some recognition, as well. Even still, Spielman’s opinion isn’t one to be brushed off. The man knows football.

4) Brian Flores “a Major Driving Force” Behind Vikings FA Add: The overwhelming sense one gets from the team’s GM and HC is that the DC garners a ton of respect. And, no doubt, that respect is well earned. Brian Flores has proven to be a brilliant defensive architect, so his opinion should be an important part of free agency decisions.

5) The A+ Vikings Mock Drafts: In a lot of ways, the main theory is still that Kwesi Adofo-Mensah shoots his shot by climbing high in the draft. Lately, though, there have been some mock explorations of a draft scenario where Minnesota maintains a pair of picks in RD1, scooping up a passer while also grabbing a great defender.
