PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: March 9th, 2024

1) Vikings Meet with Two More QBs at the Combine: The Vikings are doing their homework. Regardless of what happens with Kirk Cousins, the draft is likely to send a QB in Minnesota’s direction. There has been a lot of love for J.J. McCarthy, but the top half dozen passers all offer some upside and intrigue.

2) And 5 More Free Agents Fits for the Minnesota Vikings: The Vikings’ budget is more plentiful than in recent offseasons and the roster is staring down some major changes. Offering a piece that captures all of the possible FA fits is next to impossible, but PurplePTSD did offer up a board: The Minnesota Vikings’ Free Agency Board: 25 Fits, Possibilities, & Options.

3) The Vikings Might Look In-House to Fill Their WR Needs: Starting with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison puts Minnesota in a nice spot. They do, however, have more work ahead. Who is going to be the WR3? K.J. Osborn and Brandon Powell were the ones who filled the job last season. Time for Jalen Nailor to step into the opening?

4) Vikings Have a “Very High” Chance to Scoop Up More Draft Picks Due to Next Week’s Business: The team has a lot of talent heading toward free agency. The end result is the potential to scoop up some compensatory selections. Right now, the Vikings have seven selections for the 2025 NFL Draft, but that’s a total that could get pushed higher pretty soon.

5) The Vikings Have 1 Week to Make Decisions on 3 Players: The countdown is on, folks. Onlookers have been fascinated about these contract stalemates for a long time. Kirk Cousins, of course, gets most of the attention, but Danielle Hunter is one of the NFL’s elite edge rushers. If the QB heads elsewhere, will the Vikings have more urgency when it comes to retaining Hunter?
