The P/PTSD Perspective: Addison Being Scary, Goodbye Kirk, & Starting with 16 Before Adding 9

3 Positives from

PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: February 17th, 2024

1) Jordan Addison Calls Vikings “Scary” with Award-Winning Quarterback: The Vikings boast tremendous skill, the kind of talent that’s almost unmatched in the NFL. Any QB, especially one who is chosen very high in the draft, would be very happy throwing the football to Jordan Addison, Justin Jefferson, and T.J. Hockenson.

2) The Door Could be Opening for the Vikings to Make a Big Trade up the Draft Board: Until we get some firm clarity on Minnesota’s opening-round selection, the speculation will continue. Truth be told, the Vikings could use help at basically all of the game’s most important positions, but the needs at QB, CB, and EDGE are the most pressing. We’ll see how Kwesi Adofo-Mensah fills the various needs.

3) Mock 2024 Vikings Offseason, Part Two: Goodbye Kirk: So much hinges on the ever-controversial QB. Whether he stays or goes is arguably the most consequential decision of the Vikings’ offseason (though the Jefferson extension isn’t too far behind, if at all). Crucially, seeing Cousins head elsewhere would mean a massive domino effect that impacts several other decisions.

4) Start with 16. Now Toss on 9 to Bring Things Up to 25. Where Does that Leave the Vikings?: Adofo-Mensah has sat in the captain’s chair for a pair of drafts, scooping up sixteen players in the process. Currently, he’s moving into Draft #3 with nine selections. Add those numbers together and there’s the realistic possibility of drafting twenty-five players in a three-year span. Did the team successfully rebuild?

5) Rapid Fire Vikings News: 4 Updates to Get You Caught Up: Sometimes the Vikings news can pile up. Sometimes the best response is to package all of those tidbits into a single piece for maximum efficiency. How else should the football writer handle shuffling within the coaching staff, Josh Metellus getting a media gig, and Kirk Cousins dancing in Vegas?
