Packers at Vikings: Consensus Prediction
The fans have spoken.
The Vikings have won eight straight games after a two-game skid following the Week 6 bye. Things are looking up, and Minnesota needs two more dubs to clinch homefield advantage throughout the postseason.
It’ll face a 10-4 Packers team this weekend, led by quarterback Jordan Love and tailback Josh Jacobs. Green Bay is locked into a Wildcard spot but will hope to win for the sake of avoiding the seventh seed and spoiling Minnesota’s fun.
Vikings fans predict the Vikings will win their 14th game of the season.
Fans were close to unanimous in choosing the Vikings, evidently content with the state of play in Minnesota. The recent eight-game win spurt has caused most to start dreaming big.

Sporting News’ Vinnie Iyer picked the Packers to defeat Minnesota, 27-24, and explained: “The Vikings have won eight consecutive games, but they have had some close calls, including Week 16 in Seattle. Back at home, they face a Green Bay defense that can contain their passing game a bit, and the offense will warm up Jordan Love on the road with no elements.”
The Vikings are favored to prevail by 1.5 against the Packers. Minnesota has the league’s third-best defense per DVOA through 16 weeks.
Minnesota will hope to right a wrong from the 2023 regular season when it was all on the line versus Green Bay on New Year’s Eve at U.S. Bank Stadium, but the purple team came out flat — and got thoroughly stomped.
Kevin O’Connell’s team has a 16% chance of snatching the NFC’s No. 1 seed and homefield advantage throughout the postseason.
