Our Official Prediction: Vikings at Titans

Minnesota defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10 by a score of 12-7, the club’s second straight get-right game to restore winning ways and enhance the 2024 win-loss standing to 7-2.

This weekend, the Vikings are on the road to battle the 2-7 Titans, a team with a decent defense and bottom-five offense.

The writers at VikingsTerritory predict Minnesota will win its eighth game of the season.

Writers unanimously chose the Vikings, evidently confident that the Vikings’ 7-2 record will climb to 8-2.

Here’s how the panel sees the score for Week 11:

Dustin Baker: Vikings Win, 27-17
Brevan Bane: Vikings Win, 22-17
Sean Borman: Vikings Win, 30-22
Janik Eckardt: Vikings Win, 27-10
Josh Frey: Vikings Win, 34-20
Henrique Gucciardi: Vikings Win, 27-7
Wes Johnson: Vikings Win, 23-16

Adam New: Vikings Win, 26-13
Ted Schwerzler: Vikings Win, 27-17
Ali Siddiqui:

Mathematically en masse, we predict the Vikings will top the Titans by a score of 28-14.

In Week 10, Josh Frey and Henrique Gucciardi most accurately predicted the outcome of Jaguars-Vikings. They forecasted a seven-point win for Minnesota, and it won by five.

The Vikings are favored to prevail by six points against the Titans, and if so, Minnesota would improve its 2024 record to 8-2, firmly in position to visit the postseason tournament.

USA Today’s Lorenzo Reyes picked the Vikings over the Titans, too, 21-13. “Minnesota’s defense should smother Tennessee’s passing game. Even though Will Levis had a nice game last week against the Chargers, the Vikings bring pressure from all over the formation, and I expect them to force Levis into some turnovers,” Reyes wrote this week.

The last time Minnesota and Tennessee hooked up, Justin Jefferson had his welcome-to-the-NFL game. Not for nothing, he’s due for a huge game relatively soon.
