Minnesota Vikings Snap Counts for Week 2 vs. San Francisco 49ers
The Minnesota Vikings kept the good times rolling in Week 2 with a 23-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
Throughout the big win, Minnesota got some massive production from a few unexpected names. Here is a look at the Vikings’ snap counts for Week 2 as we heap some praise on a few of the players who had massive days.

Outside of the win, the story coming away from Week 2 for the Vikings was Justin Jefferson’s injury. It came on the heels of Jordan Addison’s ankle injury that sidelined him for the game as well, which meant the Vikings needed to utilize their depth in order to come away with a win.
Jalen Nailor was the player who stood up in a big way for Minnesota on offense, catching three passes for 54 yards and a touchdown. Nailor came up with a big third down conversion in the fourth quarter to put the Vikings in field goal range and ice the game.

Once again, Brian Flores found a way to maximize just about everybody he played on the defensive side of the ball. Linebacker Blake Cashman led the way in snaps and rightfully so as he flew all over the field throughout the afternoon. The Minnesota native put together 13 tackles, three passes defended, and a sack.
Pat Jones did not play as many snaps, but he proved to be equally as impressive. The pass rusher logged a pair of sacks for the second consecutive game, meaning he is tied for the second-most sacks in the entire NFL. It appears that the fourth-year pass rusher is fully bouncing back from a disappointing 2023 season.

Will Reichard remains perfect as the Vikings kicker, nailing all three of his field goal attempts as well as a pair of extra points. The kicker position long has been a curse for Minnesota football, but so far, it has been clean as a whistle for the Vikings in 2024.
