The Minnesota Vikings escaped a matchup against the Chicago Bears by a hair this weekend, winning 30-27 in overtime.

The victory moved Minnesota to 9-2 and gave them a 2.5-game cushion in the Wild Card race while maintaining pace with the Detroit Lions in the NFC North. With the game now in the rearview, here is a look at the Vikings’ snap counts from their latest win.

  16. LT Cam Robinson (9)
  17. TE Nick Muse (6)
  18. WR Brandon Powell (6)
  19. QB Nick Mullens (2)

It was truly an all hands on deck Sunday for the Vikings in Week 12. LT Cam Robinson was only able to play nine snaps before suffering an injury, which forced David Quessenberry to finish the game out. Then, Sam Darnold showed his toughness when suffering what looked like it could have been a serious injury before coming back into the game just two plays later. Before he did, though, Nick Mullens converted a crucial third down.

Otherwise, another notable piece of this game was the absence of Josh Oliver. As a result, T.J. Hockenson led Minnesota’s tight ends in snaps for the first time since returning from his injury. He certainly made the most of it with seven receptions for 114 yards.

  15. DT Jerry Tillery (21)
  16. OLB Dallas Turner (16)
  17. DT Jalen Redmond (16)
  18. LB Ivan Pace (5)

There were fewer injuries to be seen on Minnesota’s defense this weekend, but the Vikings did not get off free on that side of the field, either. Ivan Pace played just five snaps on Sunday before leaving the game, and Kamu Grugier-Hill filled in his place playing 45 snaps.

Meantime, rookie Dallas Turner played 16 snaps, which marked the most playing time for the edge rusher since Week 9. It still isn’t a lot, but signs of positive development for the rookie. Oh, and Blake Cashman recorded yet another tackle for loss, his fourth in the past three games since returning from his injury.

  32. WR Justin Jefferson (1)
  33. TE T.J. Hockenson (1)
  34. S Camryn Bynum (1)

The two names at the top of list saved the Vikings on Sunday when Bo Richter recovered a muffed punt, and Brian Asamoah scooped up a blocked field goal to give the Vikings extra possessions. Both ensuing drives led to touchdowns, which were much-needed points in Minnesota’s three-point win.
