Ali Siddiqui’s Prediction for Bears-Vikings + Flashback

Minnesota is coming off a 23-13 win last week on the road against the Tennessee Titans for their third straight win, while Chicago had another heartbreaking loss, falling to the Green Bay Packers 20-19 at home on a blocked field goal attempt. It was their fourth straight loss.

Minnesota leads the all-time series 66-58-2.

The last time Minnesota won in Chicago was last season. Kirk Cousins went 21/31 for 181 yards and a touchdown. T.J. Hockenson caught six passes for 50 yards. On defense, Jordan Hicks recorded a game-high 10 tackles, an interception, and also returned a fumble 42 yards for a touchdown. Danielle Hunter recorded two sacks.

“It just felt like he was not going to be denied a chance to be the guy or to go out there and respond,” coach Kevin O’Connell said. “How he was on the sideline, how he was all week in prep — I’m really, really happy with Jordan. Proud of him, as one of our core leaders showing up the way he did today.”

Minnesota won 19-13. With the win, they improved to 2-4 on the season and finished at 7-10 – missing the playoffs for the third time in four seasons. Chicago fell to 1-5 and finished the season at 7-10 – missing the playoffs for the fourth time in five seasons.

For Chicago, Tyson Bagent went 10/14 for 83 yards and an interception. He also rushed for a touchdown. D’Onta Foreman rushed for 65 yards on 15 carries.

T.J. Edwards tied for a team-high with eight tackles. He also recorded a sack.

Minnesota continues to win games. Unfortunately, the Detroit Lions are as well and should continue to be the favorites to win the division for the second straight season. Minnesota, however, is not going away, and if they keep doing their job by winning games, the season finale at Ford Field will be very entertaining.

They should also win this game, which would make it their fourth consecutive victory. Winning in Chicago used to be very difficult for them, but they have won their last four games there. It will not be a surprise if Minnesota loses, especially since their latest wins have not been very impressive, but they should still win. Every win matters. Ugly or not.

Prediction: Vikings win 21-13.
