3 Bold Predictions for Vikings-Bears

The Minnesota Vikings remain in the league’s Top 6 Super Bowl odds, a peculiar but welcomed circumstance after oddsmakers picked the purple team to win six or seven games in early September.

3 Bold Predictions for Vikings-Bears

That’s the advantage of an 11-2 start. Minnesota has won six straight after a two-game, post-bye losing skid and is absolutely back on track.

So, with the Vikings’ contest against the Chicago Bears just around the bend, these are three bold predictions for Vikings-Bears.

1. T.J. Hockenson Scores Twice

Bold Predictions
Mike Dinovo-USA TODAY Sports.

Hockenson hasn’t caught a touchdown since returning last month, and his workload has escalated.

He’s moved the stick on 3rd Downs, taken some big hits, and grabbed crucial passes out of the sky late in games. But the guy needs his first touchdown of 2024.

Hockenson is way overdue, and great players usually right the wrongs of niche slumps, like the lack of touchdowns right now. So, let’s go with Hockenson scoring multiple touchdowns against Chicago, especially if the Bears play Justin Jefferson in a similar vein as the last meeting.

Two paydirts for Hockenson.

2. Fabian Moreau Intercepts a Caleb Williams Pass

Everyone on the Vikings’ defense seems to get it in on the interception fun — so why not Moreau this week?

We accurately predicted — finally got a bold prediction right for once — Josh Metellus’ interception off Kirk Cousins last week, so let’s manifest Moreau against the Bears.

Caleb Williams hasn’t tossed a pick since mid-October. He’s overdue, and Moreau will benefit. The veteran corner actually played quite well in Week 14 against the Falcons.

3. Jordan Addison Tallies 120+ Yards

It feels like Minnesota’s offense realized in the last month that Jordan Addison needed to be unlocked. And every time Sam Darnold throws the ball in his direction, glorious things happen.

Well, the Bears will probably extend the same attention to Justin Jefferson that they did a few weeks ago — as mentioned above about T.J. Hockenson’s target load — meaning Addison can be on deck to continue his tear.

The Bears damn near beat the Vikings last time with his Jefferson coverage strategy. Maybe they’ll try it again. That will leave Addison open more than usual, and Darnold has shown no problems getting him the rock.

Addison re-explodes against the Bears and delivers some game-changing plays.
