Vikings Can Stack Wins against Packers

When the Minnesota Vikings went to Lambeau Field on Sunday, they found themselves entering the historic stadium as underdogs. That has been the case plenty this season, but it wasn’t going to stop them from asserting their dominance and coming out on top. They can keep the fun Packers domination rolling across the pond this week, too.

When the Green Bay Packers drafted Jordan Love, they did so much to Aaron Rodgers’s chagrin. The opinionated veteran was entrenched as the signal caller, and grabbing his replacement certainly wouldn’t help him win more games in the short term. Rodgers made that frustration known, but it was the same situation his predecessor, Brett Favre, had to deal with.

Love has since established himself as a capable signal caller in the NFL. He earned a sizable payday from the Green Bay Packers and is now considered a veteran quarterback in the league. He also lost to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Kevin O’Connell’s team could force Aaron Rodgers to experience that this week as well.

When the Minnesota Vikings turn their attention to the New York Jets, they will be getting a team with Super Bowl aspirations. Unfortunately for them, they are just 2-2 through the first four weeks of the year, and Rodgers has been anything but a top performer. On Sunday against the hapless Denver Broncos, New York scored just nine points, and Rodgers was unable to generate a touchdown.

The Vikings have forced good teams into bad situations each of the past three weeks, and that’s something they’ll be looking to keep rolling. Brian Flores has had the defense playing at a very high level all season long, and stopping Rodgers will be the key concern. The New York Jets have a few standout offensive weapons, but Minnesota has seen better San Francisco and Houston units.

Beating Rodgers a week after taking down his former employer would be quite the storyline. Minnesota has gotten off to such a hot start, and even a trip overseas shouldn’t be expected to slow them down.

They are favored to win the game heading into the matchup, and a 5-0 start would be more than welcomed.
