For the first time in his career, Aaron Jones will get to play at Lambeau Field after emerging from the visitor’s locker room. Having played his 100th career game last week, it is certainly a long time coming. He will be seeking revenge as well.

It’s Aaron Jones Revenge Week

Last week, the Minnesota Vikings saw some familiar faces when the Houston Texans came to town. Danielle Hunter and Stefon Diggs were both back for the first time, and it was a nice reunion for both. Obviously, the Vikings got the last laugh by winning 34-7.

Aaron Jones has talked extensively about how happy he is with the Minnesota Vikings. That comes after an offseason that saw the Green Bay Packers send him packing. Instead of taking a pay cut, he decided to take his talents elsewhere, and he has been among the best acquisitions of the offseason.

Jones scored his first touchdown in New York and quickly leaped into the stands. He has grown accustomed to that move in Lambeau, and it’s one he may even replicate this weekend. Instead of being dubbed the Lambeau Leap, he calls it the Bank Vault.

Minnesota QB Sam Darnold and RB Aaron Jones addressed the media from the TCO Performance Center on Thursday, March 14th. Both players became Vikings after Alexander Mattison and Kirk Cousins left during the 2024 offseason.

Jones will see plenty of familiar faces on the opposing sideline. He has been with the organization to the point that it is a second home for him. That won’t be his focus on Sunday, though, as the Minnesota Vikings are seeking an opportunity to improve their record to a perfect 4-0.

Throughout the first three weeks of the season, Kevin O’Connell has deployed Jones in a myriad of different ways. He has a 100-yard game, but even when he posted a clunker against the San Francisco 49ers, he made his mark on the box score through the passing game. O’Connell hasn’t ever had this sort of dynamic back, and the way in which it has opened the offense has been impressive.

Aaron Jones, Jonathan Greenard, Jordan Addison and Cam Bynum spoke with reporters after mandatory minicamp on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024, at TCO Performance Center. The Vikings signed Jones during the 2024 free agency period, a replacement for Alexander Mattison, who joined the Las Vegas Raiders roster.

It will be emotional for Jones as he takes the field, but once the opening kickoff is sent into the air, you can bet it will be all business. He’s out to prove that Green Bay paid the wrong back.
