How about Anthony Edwards for the Vikings Quarterback?

The Minnesota Vikings are in the market for a quarterback, and Kirk Cousins has left a void. If you remember some of Anthony Edwards’ initial interviews as a rookie, he mentioned his athletic ability across sports. A new commercial for his signature shoe highlights his time at quarterback.
How about Anthony Edwards for the Vikings Quarterback?
The Minnesota Timberwolves have been among the best teams in the NBA for the duration of the current season. With Karl Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert playing superstar roles alongside Anthony Edwards, Chris Finch has a team capable of bringing a championship to the Twin Cities. By season’s end, Edwards may find his way into the MVP conversation, but plenty of the marketing for the electrifying guard has come around his first signature shoe.

An Adidas athlete since stepping on the court for Minnesota, he was finally given his own signature shoe this season. Multiple colorways of the AE1 have surfaced already, and he was given a special entry for his inclusion in the NBA All-Star Game. Now, his first player edition, Colorway, is a throwback to his football days. Already rocking number “8” and with a “V” on his collar, it seems like a natural fit under center for the Vikings would work.
Of course, there is no way that Edwards is truly NFL material, and he’s not stepping away from the NBA any time soon, but it is truly incredible how well Adidas has handled the marketing of his signature shoe. Beyond that, Edwards has been such an exciting player for the state, and he continues to draw rave reviews in the press when it comes to his charisma and personality.
The well-timed announcement of his next colorway coincides with free agency opening in the NFL this week. Cousins has decided to take his talents to the Atlanta Falcons, which has a cascading effect on how Minnesota blueprints its future roster decisions.

Like Edwards for the Timberwolves, there’s no denying that the Vikings wouldn’t benefit from another superstar figure in the lineup. Since being drafted in the first round out of LSU, Justin Jefferson has taken on that role, and pairing him with a quarterback that the franchise can build around presents an exciting path forward.
