Q: Will Jordan Addison Play on Sunday?

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports.

Answer: Yes.

Here’s the tweet.

Addison was injured the same day J.J. McCarthy hit the shelf for all of 2024 — also known as a rotten day for the Vikings’ summer. However, even though Addison had to be carted off the practice field that afternoon, he’ll be good to go for Sunday.

And Minnesota will need Addison, especially with quarterback uncertainty. Nobody really knows if Sam Darnold will be any good. Cross your fingers.

Q: If any Vikings player wins an award this season, who will it be?

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports.

Answer: Dallas Turner — Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Turner and Laiatu Latu of the Indianapolis Colts actually share favorite status to take home Defensive Rookie of the Year bacon. Turner is a frontrunner.

Brian Flores’ defense will allow Turner to fly all over the place, and Jonathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel on the roster should free up pass-rushing space.

Sam Darnold could also win Comeback Player of the Year, but let’s do Turner as DROY.

Q: Will Trishton Jackson actually get attention in the Vikings’ offense?

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports.

A: We say yes.

Jalen Nailor is on the injury report, and it’s unclear if he’ll play on Sunday. That’s just an example of Jackson’s pathway to WR3 or WR4. The man looked terrific in the preseason, and we believe that can translate to the regular season.

If Nailor doesn’t play or Addison is only halfway healthy, it could occur as early as Sunday at the New York Giants.

Quietly, Jackson has been attached to Minnesota’s roster for four seasons now, so it’s pretty fantastic that he’s finally getting his flowers. After Justin Jefferson, Addison, and Nailor on the depth chart, passing game targets are up for grabs.
