Vikings 2023 Depth Chart with NFL Draft a Month Away

Week 16 vs
Matt Krohn-USA TODAY Sports.

The Minnesota Vikings have added six new players in March, including Josh Oliver (TE, Ravens), Marcus Davenport (EDGE, Saints), Byron Murphy (CB, Cardinals), Dean Lowry (DT, Packers), Brandon Powell (WR, Rams), and Troy Reeder (LB, Chargers).

Cameron Dantzler (CB, Commanders), Eric Kendricks (LB, Chargers), Patrick Peterson (CB, Steelers), Adam Thielen (WR, Panthers), Dalvin Tomlinson (DT, Browns), Duke Shelley (CB, Raiders), and Irv Smith (TE, Bengals) have exited the franchise, so next September will feel a bit weird no matter how one perceives.

But Minnesota does have enough players to field a 53-man football team, a tally that will grow to 90 men by the summer. For now, here’s the Vikings depth chart with the NFL draft less than four weeks away.

Getting His Madden
Daniel Bartel-USA TODAY Sports

Minnesota is pegged with a familiar win forecast this season as of early April — 8.5 wins. It’s the same Vegas forecast from last year at this time. Most experts believe the franchise severely overachieved in 2022 and will regress accordingly in Kevin O’Connell’s second year. We shall see.

The Vikings are scheduled to pick five times in April’s draft, although general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah may trade like a stock broker — as he did last year.
