Our Official Staff Prediction for Vikings at Raiders
The VikingsTerritory collective staff prediction for Vikings at Raiders is ready.
Minnesota lost in Week 12 at home before the bye to the Chicago Bears, 12-10. Four turnovers sunk the enterprise, and the defense couldn’t stiffen late in the 4th Quarter. The loss was a blow to the Vikings’ playoff hopes, and Minnesota must now finish 4-1 or 3-2 to reach the postseason.
Our Official Staff Prediction for Vikings at Raiders
The Raiders enjoyed a Week 13 bye, too, and hope to improve on a 5-7 record, aided by new head coach and former player Antonio Pierce.
The writers at VikingsTerritory predict the Vikings will win their seventh game of the season.
Writers almost unanimously chose the Vikings, evidently confident in Minnesota’s ability to bounce back from the MNF debacle versus Chicago.

Last week, Sean Borman most accurately predicted the Vikings’ outcome. He picked the Vikings to win by three, and the Bears won by two.
The Vikings are favored to prevail by three points at the Raiders, as oddsmakers believe the teams are somewhat evenly matched but trust Minnesota with a hotter defense — and Justin Jefferson’s return.
Sporting News picked the Vikings to defeat the Raiders, and SN’s Bill Bender explained with a 21-17 prediction, “Both teams are coming off bye weeks, and this will be a quarterback matchup between Joshua Dobbs and Aidan O’Connell. That makes it a toss-up-by-turnovers type game. O’Connell has thrown just one interception in three home starts, and Joshua Dobbs had five interceptions in Minnesota’s last two losses. Who protects the football? This is one of the more difficult picks of the week.”
The Vikings are 6-10 (.375) all-time against the Raiders.
