The VikingsTerritory collective staff prediction for 49ers at Vikings is ready.

Minnesota won in Week 6 on the road at the Chicago Bears thanks to three forced turnovers and a 1st-Half touchdown from Jordan Addison. The rest of the game was a mess — for both teams.

Our Official Staff Prediction for 49ers at Vikings

The 49ers lost last weekend, nearly knocking off the defensive-minded Cleveland Browns, but a missed field goal from 41 yards out canceled their victory. It was San Francisco’s lone loss of 2023 to date.

The writers at VikingsTerritory predict the Vikings will lose their fifth game of the season.

Matt Krohn-USA TODAY Sports.

The group overwhelmingly chose the 49ers, probably because Kyle Shanahan’s team is considered the best in the sport through six weeks. San Francisco really doesn’t have weaknesses.

Here’s how the panel sees the score for Week 7:

Dustin Baker: 49ers Win, 24-17
Sean Borman: 49ers Win, 24-21
Janik Eckardt: 49ers Win, 35-31
Josh Frey: 49ers Win, 24-20
Will Goodwin: 49ers Win, 24-20
Wes Johnson: Vikings Win, 26-23
Kyle Joudry: 49ers Win, 34-24
Adam New: 49ers Win, 19-13
Nate Powalie: 49ers Win, 28-23
Ted Schwerzler: 49ers Win, 28-24
Ali Siddiqui: 49ers Win, 23-13
Cole Smith: 49ers Win, 26-22

Mathematically en masse, we predict the 49ers will top the Vikings by a score of 26-21.

And 2023 season standings for our writers’ predictions:

Will Goodwin: 4-2
Nate Powalie: 4-2
Ted Schwerzler: 4-2
Cole Smith: 4-2
Dustin Baker: 3-3
Sean Borman: 3-3
Janik Eckardt: 3-3
Josh Frey: 3-3
Adam New: 3-3
Ali Siddiqui: 3-3
Wes Johnson: 2-4
Kyle Joudry: 2-4

Last week, Ali Siddiqui most accurately predicted the Vikings outcome. He picked the Vikings to win by six, and that happened.

The point spread currently favors the 49ers by seven points, and if the line holds, it will be the Vikings largest home underdog predicament since 2014.

Sporting News picked the 49ers to defeat the Vikings, and SN’s Bill Bender explained with a 25-19 prediction, “Christian McCaffrey (oblique) and Deebo Samuel (shoulder) are dealing with injuries, but Justin Jefferson (hamstring) is still out for the Vikings. That puts a little more on Brock Purdy and Kirk Cousins. The 49ers will need to bounce back, but the Vikings have not lost at home by more than a touchdown under second-year coach Kevin O’Connell. Keep an eye on those injury reports.”

The Vikings have never lost four consecutive games at home to start a season, a streak that could end if the 49ers win as Vegas expects.
