The Minnesota Vikings have released their inactives list for their Wild Card game against the New York Giants, and there are a few notable absences from this list. All four of Garrett Bradbury, Blake Brandel, James Lynch, and Harrison Smith will play against New York in the Vikings first home playoff game since the Minneapolis Miracle. Here is the full list of inactives prior to the game.

  • CB Cam Dantzler
  • RB Ty Chandler
  • OLB Luiji Vilain
  • DL Esezi Otomewo
  • DL Ross Blacklock

Despite James Lynch being available for this game, it’s a little surprising to see Esezi Otomewo among the inactives this weekend. The fifth-round pick out of Minnesota played 10 or more defensive snaps in each of the final five games for the Vikings and recorded a TFL in Week 18 against the Bears.

An unsurprising player listed among the inactives is CB Cam Dantzler. He’s been dealing with what’s been described as a “serious” personal matter throughout the week on top of his ankle injury. The CB was not at practice throughout the week.

The Vikings should officially get some snaps out of both Garrett Bradbury and Blake Brandel this weekend as well. Both will suit up for this game after being activated off IR and practicing this week.

On the other side, the New York Giants have seven players listed as inactive going into this game. They are as follows:

  • CB Rodarius Williams
  • RB Jashaun Corbin
  • LB Micah McFadden
  • G Wyatt Davis
  • G Jack Anderson
  • WR Kalil Pimpleton
  • DL Henry Mondeaux

This list suggests that the Giants will have a healthy defense for Sunday, including CB Adoree’ Jackson. Vikings fans will also notice that Wyatt Davis will not suit up for this game, their former 2021 third-round pick. Davis played 26 snaps in Week 18, and he has been on quite the journey this season, spending time with the Vikings, New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, and Giants.

Kickoff between the Vikings and Giants is scheduled for 3:30 PM CST at U.S. Bank Stadium. If the Vikings win, they will make the trek out to San Francisco to play the 49ers in the Divisonal round. If they lose, their season is over.
