The VikingsTerritory collective staff prediction for Vikings at Bengals is ready.

Minnesota won in Week 14 at the Las Vegas Raiders, 3-0. Yes, that was the score. A late substitution at quarterback sparked the Vikings’ offense, resulting in a game-deciding field goal from Greg Joseph. Rookie linebacker Ivan Pace sealed the deal with a clutch interception.

Our Official Staff Prediction for Vikings at Bengals

The Bengals have won two straight, experiencing a Dobbisan run from former Vikings quarterback Jake Browning, who took over for an injured Joe Burrow about a month ago. Minnesota will start Nick Mullens at quarterback.

The writers at VikingsTerritory predict the Vikings will win their eighth game of the season — barely.

Writers were evenly split on the decision — that hardly ever happens — a true toss-up for Week 15. Ultimately, the nod went to a point differential favoring the Vikings.

Here’s how the panel sees the score for Week 15:

Dustin Baker: Bengals Win, 23-20
Sean Borman: Bengals Win, 21-20
Janik Eckardt: Bengals Win, 17-14
Josh Frey: Vikings Win, 24-17
Will Goodwin: Vikings Win, 20-17
Wes Johnson: Vikings Win, 27-20
Kyle Joudry: Bengals Win, 27-21
Adam New: Vikings Win, 17-9
Nate Powalie: Vikings Win, 24-13
Ted Schwerzler: Bengals Win, 24-21
Ali Siddiqui: Vikings Win, 20-16
Cole Smith: Bengals Win, 17-15

Mathematically en masse, we predict the Vikings will top the Bengals by a score of 20-18.

Last week, Sean Borman, Kyle Joudry, and Adam New most accurately predicted the Vikings’ outcome. They picked the Vikings to win by three, and that happened.

The Bengals are favored to prevail by three points against the Vikings, as oddsmakers believe the teams are somewhat evenly matched but trust BrowningMania more than Mullens’ insertion in the offense.

Could Start for Bengals

Sporting News picked the Bengals to defeat the Vikings, and SN’s Bill Bender explained with a 24-17 prediction, “Jake Browning has an 82% completion percentage in his last two starts, and the Bengals have enough talent to make a run to the AFC playoffs. Minnesota (92.9) ranks in the top five in rush defense, but the tandem of Joe Mixon and Chase Brown – a late-season fantasy game – will be enough against a Vikings’ team that is shuffling quarterbacks, too.”

Minnesota has lost four consecutive games at Cincinnati.
