Here’s Where the Vikings Offense Ranks Through Week 9

Week 9 of the NFL season is officially behind us.
The Vikings went on the road without Kirk Cousins, Christian Darrisaw, or Justin Jefferson this weekend and managed to pull off a crazy upset win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Today, we will be breaking down the Vikings offense ranks as a whole through Week 9 as a whole, and where individual players stand. Shout out to Pro-Football-Reference, Pro Football Focus, and nfeloapp.com for the numbers that went into this article. Stay tuned for the defensive rankings later today as well.
NOTE: Individual PFF Grades are sorted to include players with at least 20% of the league leader’s number of dropbacks, carries, or targets. In addition, with many of the teams now having their bye weeks behind them, we’ll be transitioning towards per game numbers for the team statistics.

Minnesota put together 31 points, and they were great on third down once again. After a bit of a sluggish start to the year, especially scoring and efficiency wise, Minnesota is now knocking on the door of being a top-10 group across the board.

Thanks to a great second half, the Vikings rushing offense made a little jump in some categories. After a season-high 146 rushing yards on Sunday, the Vikings climbed out of the 30s in terms of rushing yards per game, and their yards per carry took a step up as well. Without Cam Akers for the rest of the way, though, Minnesota could need to bring in yet another running back for their backfield.
Meanwhile, the passing offense remains one of the better groups in the NFL, ranking among the top five in completions, passing yards, passing first downs, and passing TDs this season.
