Sasquatch Sat Next to Dalvin Cook.

The 20 Most Weird
Sasquatch and Dalvin Cook at a Minnesota Timberwolves game in October of 2022 at Target Center.

A “where were you when” moment to be sure, Sasquatch had a seat next to Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook on Wednesday night.

Cook and Sasquatch took in the Minnesota Timberwolves home opener, a triumphant endeavor for Minnesota, who toppled the Oklahoma City Thunder 115-108.

Cook’s Vikings are 5-1 through Week 6 and are using this week as a bye on the NFL’s schedule. Accordingly, a spot next to Sasquatch was evidently what Cook needed for some rest and relaxation.

The Sasquatch “man” even sported dance moves with Cook at his side.

The Sasquatch was actually at Target Center on behalf of Jack Links, a beef jerky company that presumably felt situating their spokesman next to Cook would enhance notoriety.

The plan worked.

With Cook and his hairy buddy in attendance, the Wolves started the 2022-2023 season positively, aided by 23 points and 16 rebounds from newcomer Rudy Gobert, who arrived in Minnesota via blockbuster trade with the Utah Jazz. Minnesota didn’t play marvelously throughout the entire game, but Gobert did enough to ensure the Wolves wouldn’t begin the season with a grimace.

On the football side for Cook, he ranks sixth in the NFL in rushing yards, on pace for 1,275 yards on the ground in 2022, plus 11 touchdowns. And that’s while the Vikings run the football sixth-least in the league. When the franchise hired Kevin O’Connell in February, a sharp pivot to passing the ball ensued.

Sasquatch won’t be in attendance — well, probably not — but Minnesota hosts the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8 at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Vikings are favored by six points.

Cook authored his best game of the season on Sunday, capping a tremendous game in Miami with a 53-yard touchdown scamper.
