The 2022 Vikings, According to All National Power Rankings: Week 13
Each week, VikingsTerritory catalogs the Minnesota Vikings placement in national power rankings. Eleven sources are vetted, detailed, and plopped here for reference.
The Vikings rebounded in Week 12, toppling the New England Patriots 33-26 in yet another thriller. Against New England, the Vikings defense was porous until the game was on the line and stiffened in the 4th Quarter.
Minnesota now has around 16:1 odds of winning the Super Bowl in 2022. Last week, those odds were around 11:1, so oddsmakers were evidently unimpressed with the Vikings win.
Per EPA/Play, the Vikings own the NFL’s 18th-best offense and 16th-best defense after Week 12. Those certainly aren’t the metrics a Super Bowl-contending team produces, but the Vikings have six weeks to improve.
These are the Vikings weekly power rankings heading into Week 13.

The national average of these totals is 7.0. The world believes the Vikings are about the NFL’s seventh-best team. Last week, Minnesota was around seventh, too, teetering on eighth.
Staff from Bleacher Report wrote about the Vikings Turkey Day triumph: “After Minnesota’s worst loss of the season, the Vikings responded with a big win on a short week against a quality opponent. It didn’t eliminate the doubts about the team’s viability as a Super Bowl contender. But it was a step in the right direction, and now the Vikes have had extra time to prepare for another challenging matchup against the Jets.”
Vinnie Iyer from Sporting News added, “The Vikings got their offense going again with Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson leading the way against the Patriots. They made a key statement in prime time to quickly rebound from the Cowboys’ debacle and on the cusp of locking up the NFC North title.”
The Vikings are three-point favorites to beat the New York Jets at U.S. Bank Stadium in Week 13. The Jets are in the AFC’s postseason seventh-seed heading into the weekend, needing a win to keep pace.
