The Vikings Thursday injury report for Week 17 has been released, and there is one notable omission from today’s report for the Vikings. Starting CB Cam Dantzler appears to finally be healthy from his high ankle sprain that landed him on injured reserve earlier this season as the Vikings removed him from the list. The full Vikings injury report is as follows:

  • C Garrett Bradbury- DNP (back)
  • LG Ezra Cleveland- Limited (shoulder)
  • DL James Lynch- DNP (shoulder)

With Dantzler’s removal from the injury report, the Vikings CB appears ready to return to the field after missing six of Minnesota’s previous seven games. In Weeks 15 and 16, it was Duke Shelley as his replacement, and now, Shelley will return to his reserve role again.

Meanwhile, Garrett Bradbury and Ezra Cleveland did not have their statuses change from Wednesday to Thursday. Bradbury remained out with his back injury while Cleveland is still limited due to his shoulder. Bradbury has missed the Vikings last three games at center, and he seems to be trending towards missing his fourth straight.

On the other side, the Green Bay Packers injury report looks very similar to Wednesday’s with the same 10 players on the Thursday report as well as TE Marcedes Lewis who sat out Thursday with a rest day. Their list is as follows:

  • CB Jaire Alexander- Full (forearm)
  • LT David Bakhtiari- Limited (knee/abdomen)
  • LB Krys Barnes- Full (hand)
  • S Rudy Ford- Full (wrist/knee)
  • OL Elgton Jenkins- Limited (knee)
  • RB Aaron Jones- Limited (knee/ankle)
  • TE Marcedes Lewis- DNP (rest)
  • OT Yosh Nijman- Limited (shoulder)
  • CB Keisean Nixon- DNP (groin)
  • QB Aaron Rodgers- Limited (right thumb/knee)
  • WR Christian Watson- DNP (hip)

As expected, QB Aaron Rodgers is back at practice on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday’s practice to load manage his knee injury suffered against the Miami Dolphins last weekend. He practiced in limited fashion on Thursday and should be available to the Packers on Sunday against the Vikings.

However, rookie WR Christian Watson remained out on Thursday with his hip injury. The rookie wide receiver has been a crucial part of the Packers offense in recent weeks, with nine touchdowns now on the season.

Other limited participants again included RB Aaron Jones, LT David Bakhtiari, and OL Elgton Jenkins while CB Jaire Alexander was a full participant once again with his hand injury.

Each team will release one more injury report on Friday, and then kickoff between the Packers and Vikings is scheduled for Sunday, January 3:25 PM CST at Lambeau Field. The game will carry massive playoff implications for each team as the Vikings fight to maintain their spot in the No. 2 seed, and the Packers try to find their way into the NFC playoff picture.
